HELLO
I'm Sara Leedom, founder and Managing Director of Iyaga Honey.
I've lived in Rwanda for eight years, working with entrepreneurs who are committed to improving their lives and communities. I've always had a passion for nature, for delicious food and cooking, and for my community. By launching Iyaga Honey, I'm able to bring all these interests together by bringing you really good pure honey.

I've been grateful to learn from beekeepers around the globe, incorporating practices of natural beekeeping into my approach. In 2022, beekeepers in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Mexico, and California all shared with me how their cultures and beliefs influence their beekeeping practices - which I share on my blog www.SaraLeedom.com.
As a Masterbeekeer apprentice, I'm always learning and growing by spending time with beekeepers, and most importantly, by listening to what the bees want. While bees continue to be threatened by drought, pesticides, and loss of habitat, we can do our best by choosing only natural practices in beekeeping, and always thinking about what's best for the bees.

Thank you for supporting Iyaga Honey and the bees.
Murakoze,
Sara
